The state of California launched a redesigned Web portal yesterday with social media-friendly and widget-ready interactive designs. According to State Chief Information Officer Teri Takai, the redesigned portal is meant to be a “one-stop destination” for the over six million visitors per month.

In particular, the latest survey compares Gen Y workers in government with their private sector counterparts. This Monday, April 27, President Barack Obama will open the online doors of his administration to engage the public about Recovery.gov. Touted as an “online dialogue,” the Obama administration wants to know “what ideas, tools, and approaches can make Recovery.gov a place where the public can monitor the expenditure and the use of recovery funds?”
