About

CivSource provides news coverage of state and local government and technology issues. We work hard to provide our readers with content they won’t find anywhere else, including breaking news and interviews with leaders in the public and private sector.

Since 2009, CivSource has provided our readers with in-depth reporting and interviews with civic leaders. We were the first outlet to announce the creation of organizations like Code for America, CityCamps and civic hackathons. Our interviews have included Governors, Mayors, CIOs, and CEOs on the issues and trends that matter most for state and local government. In our section, The Gallery CivSource contributors, including leaders from private sector companies like Deloitte and IDC, as well as civic organizations like Gig.U, academics, and technologists share their insights on how to improve government and provide use cases happening around the country.

We aim to provide state and local insights to a broader audience, across levels of government, the private sector, media and everyday readers. State and local is the engine driving politics, business and everyday lives. Our coverage will span a broad array of areas and we hope our readers find value in the diversity of our content.
