Granicus, a provider of cloud-focused government management software, has acquired SouthTech a records management company.
SouthTech provides a turnkey business process automation service. The solution automates the time-consuming and manual process of digitizing, approving, retrieving and payment processing of vital records including marriage, birth, death and land certificates. SouthTech also provides automated disclosure solutions supporting California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) statements and forms.
With the deal, Granicus customers will have additional tools for records management and SouthTech users will be able to access the full range of software on the Granicus platform.
SouthTech already automates records and disclosure processes for many of the country’s largest local government organizations including Orange County, the City of Beverly Hills and the Metropolitan Water District of California.
This is the latest in a series of acquisitions for Granicus, which merged with GovDelivery in 2016. The company also has backing from private equity firm Vista Equity Partners, which has a growing civic tech investment practice.
