Sue Langen has been promoted to Acting Director of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in Washington State, effective today.

Langen, who currently serves as a Senior Policy and Enterprise Systems Advisor in the OCIO, will take over many of the responsibilities left vacant after the departure of State Chief Information Officer Michael Cockrill in October.

Langen previously served as the CIO at the Department of Social and Health Services in Washington.

“In this acting role, I hope we will continue to build on the progress the OCIO has made in recent years, I look forward to working with our partners around the state,” said Langen in a statement.
