Texas-based NTT Data, an IT services provider has been awarded a multi-state cloud services agreement through NASPO ValuePoint. The award is in response to a cooperative RFP led by the state of Utah for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), which may be used by state agencies, institutions of higher learning, and other political entities.
NASPO ValuePoint is a cooperative bidding organization for state governments. Cooperative bidding allows states to come together around common procurement issues and bid as a group in order to make more efficient agreements. As part of the cooperative bidding arrangement, participating states will set up work arrangements with the vendor awarded in the group agreement rather than running several tandem single-state bidding processes.
Under the terms of the award, NTT DATA’s IaaS offering will provide government participants with an integrated cloud services environment, managed services and some consulting capabilities.
The agreement will expire in September 2026. State and local governments may begin using these master awards as participating addendums are signed between the entities and NTT DATA.
