AT&T Adds Public Sector VP

AT&T has named Anthony Robbins vice president-Public Sector Solutions-Global Defense, AT&T Business Solutions. Prior to joining AT&T Robbins let Brocade’s federal business.

At Brocade he was responsible for sales, engineering, services and partner ecosystem. He has also held leadership roles at Oracle and Sun Microsystems.

In his new role, Robbins will lead the defense industry segment of the AT&T Public Sector Solutions business. He will oversee the company’s work with the Department of Defense and other global public sector defense organizations.

The appointment comes of the heels of AT&T’s recent DISA contract win. The company was the the sole awardee of a contract worth up to $74.6 million over five years, if all options are exercised, from the Defense Information Systems Agency.

The contract award will make the company the only provider of secure telecommunications between select Department of Defense aircraft and ground stations across the continental U.S. and around the world.
