NICE Systems is deploying a new public safety offering on the Microsoft Azure Government Cloud. The collaboration provides law enforcement agencies with a comprehensive Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)-compliant cloud solution for managing investigations and digital evidence.

NICE Investigate is designed to help law enforcement analyze a wide range of surveillance data and individual tips in order to piece together information from criminal investigations. By running on Azure, the offering has enough storage capability and processing power to integrate information instead of siloing it off into a media file system.

Utilizing a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution also helps eliminate the up-front hardware and resource costs associated with an on-premises option.

“Offering the NICE Investigate solution on the Microsoft Azure Government cloud platform reinforces our shared commitment to providing law enforcement the most advanced tools available to help them do their jobs and better protect the public,” said Michael Donlan, vice president, U.S. State and Local Government, Microsoft.

NICE Systems is the latest law enforcement entrant to offer solutions on Azure Government Cloud. As CivSource reported last month, Getac a manufacturer of rugged computers has built a new law enforcement management solution that runs on Azure. The Veretos Mobile Video System (MVS) is an evidence management solution designed to handle digital assets obtained from in-car video solutions, interview rooms, and other digital devices.
