Monterey County, California is upgrading its records management system through a joint integration with Accela and Questys Solutions. This integration will allow the county to automate and extend the Accela Civic Platform with Questys electronic document management, record management, imaging, data capture and workflow.

County workers will now be able to search records through both full-text and keyword methods.

Monterey County has been using Questys Solutions for more than 18 years. Through this latest partnership, the county aims to provide its staff greater transparency, accountability and coordination with the public and partner agencies. Accela Civic Platform provides cities the foundation for automating critical tasks associated with civic functions for land management, licensing, asset management, and public health and safety.

The integration will create a single access point for records management, and cut time spent on searching paper records.

This is the latest product announcement from Accela which has been on a bit of an acquisition spree in order to rapidly expand its civic platform offering. The company acquired PublicStuff in May following a $143 million cash infusion from private equity firm Bregal Sagemount.
