The City of Kent, Ohio has partnered with New World Systems to replace it’s public administration system with the Logos.NET(TM) Public Administration Suite. For the first time, the City will have Community Development software that integrates with the rest of their financial system, reducing data entry, eliminating duplication of efforts and improving timeliness of accurate information.
The upgrade will impact municipal financial management, payroll and human resources in addition to community development. The city hopes to increase collaboration between municipal departments through the upgrade.
New World Systems is based out of Michigan and serves over 1,000 public sector clients in the area and nationwide focusing on public administration and law enforcement. The company currently serves several cities in the state of Ohio.
“New World’s software will allow us to focus on new initiatives,” said Brian Huff, Controller, City of Kent in a statement. “Internally, all departments will have a better understanding of their budgets. Externally, we’ll have the tools to improve service to our citizens.”
