CGI launches medicaid EHR incentive payment management offering

CGI Group Inc. has launched Medicaid Incentive360, a service designed to manage states’ Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Payment Programs. According to the company, Medicaid Incentive360 will allow states to be prepared to accept new registrations in time for the January 2011 requirement laid out in recent federal health care reform legislation.

The system is designed to manage all aspects of Medicaid EHR Incentive Payment Programs (MEIPP) and can work with existing MMIS systems. Medicaid Incentive360 users will be able to manage registrations, attestation, payment processing, auditing and reporting. The company claims that the system is designed to manage all of these processes in a streamlined workflow that keeps costs and time spent low.

Medicaid Incentive360 is one option available to states currently working through applications for federal incentive funds for EHR systems. These funds were allocated through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and are available to states that show that they can meet eligibility requirements.

“States need help today to get Medicaid EHR Incentive Payment systems up and running as well as fully staffed,” said Holli Ploog, Vice-President, CGI’s Health and Human Services Programs.
