Wisconsin is the third state in the last few months to review its regulatory process as a way to energize job creation. Boston will be putting more of its City Council activities online according to a new initiative announced earlier this week. In 2011, the council will start work toward fulfilling all data requests online. The council will also be posting all of its committee reports online, saving an average of $35,000 per year.
Alabama’s Medicaid Agency will receive a $55 million federal performance bonus for its efforts to enroll more low-income children into Medicaid. In an announcement made last week, Harris Corporation has been awarded a four-year deal to implement a statewide health information exchange (HIE) in Florida. The $19 million contract will connect health entities across the state to provide a secure exchange of patient health information.
