GGNSC Holdings moves HQ to Texas

Golden Living is moving its corporate headquarters to Plano, Texas to become a Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) company. The state will be investing $2.1 million in the company which provides post-acute health and recovery care services. The investment is expected to create 100 high-paying jobs and lead to $8.4 million in capital investment for the state.

The headquarters in Texas will manage the full portfolio of the Golden Living family of companies which employs more than 42,000 people. The company operates health care facilities in several states and provides care for nearly 60,000 people each year.

Texas operates a variety of different funds such as TEF which are designed to provide direct investments in businesses that bring jobs to the state. TEF was created in 2003 and all funds spent are approved by the governor, lieutenant governor and speaker of the House. To date, the TEF has invested more than $427.7 million in bringing businesses to the state. According to the Governor, these investments have generated 56,871 new jobs and more than $14.7 billion in capital investment for Texas.

“The business environment created by the officials of the State of Texas, the Texas Enterprise Fund, and the City of Plano, along with their investments, were key to our decision to locate our new headquarters in Texas,” said Neil Kurtz, M.D., President and CEO of Golden Living.
